Senior Director, HABA, Home & Entertainment
Position Summary
As Senior Director, Health and Beauty, Home & Entertainment, you will shape the sourcing strategy behind some of Canada's most recognized control brands, including Life Brand, ensuring customers have access to innovative, high-quality products at the best value. Leading a team of sourcing leaders, you will influence enterprise-wide decisions, build strategic global supplier partnerships, and drive sourcing excellence across Health & Beauty, Home & Entertainment portfolios. Working cross-functionally with senior leaders across Merchandising, Product Development, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Finance, and Regulatory, you will deliver cost savings, strengthen supply continuity, accelerate product commercialization, and enable sustainable growth for more than 3,000 stores across Canada. Your leadership will directly impact customer experience, business performance, and the long-term success of Loblaw's control brand strategy.
What You'll Do
Develop and execute enterprise sourcing strategies across the HABA, Home & Entertainment portfolios that deliver sustainable value, innovation, supply continuity and competitive advantage.
Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team of Sourcing Directors, building organizational capability, succession strength and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Establish and grow strategic supplier partnerships while leading complex commercial negotiations that optimize cost, quality, service, innovation and long-term value.
Provide executive leadership for Control Brand sourcing, ensuring successful commercialization through effective supplier selection, risk management and cross-functional alignment.
Partner with senior leaders across Merchandising, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to align sourcing strategies with enterprise priorities and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
Anticipate and mitigate global supply, geopolitical, commodity and regulatory risks through proactive sourcing strategies and robust supplier governance.
Leverage data, analytics, AI and market intelligence to identify opportunities, improve decision-making and shape long-term sourcing strategies.
Champion responsible sourcing, sustainability and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead enterprise transformation by simplifying processes, driving innovation and advancing sourcing capabilities that improve speed, agility and operational excellence.
Represent Sourcing as a trusted enterprise leader, influencing strategic decisions and fostering collaboration across the organization.
What You'll Need
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, supply chain, or general management, including leading high-performing teams.
Demonstrated experience sourcing Control Brand or Private Label products, including supplier development, commercialization, and new product launches.
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and global procurement.
Experience supporting complex retail environments, with an understanding of banner-specific requirements.
Proven success partnering closely with Supply Chain to support forecasting, inventory optimization, product launches, and supply continuity.
Exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills with a demonstrated ability to build consensus, gain alignment, and drive strategic decisions across cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders without direct authority.
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and influence organizational direction.
Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen, including experience evaluating business cases, managing cost drivers, and interpreting market trends.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and highly collaborative environment while managing multiple strategic priorities.
