Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement support strategy for the designated area in line with the global support strategy. Each day, you will ensure seamless technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. You will also showcase your knowledge by creating, implementing, and reviewing support strategy for the designated area based on the overall service business strategy.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Service Business for APAC Region being based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Creating, implementing, and reviewing support strategies for your designated area aligned with overall service business strategy, leveraging lessons learned from previous customer and project experiences.

• Overseeing estimations, bids, and proposals ensuring they align with ABB standards, targets, and quality benchmarks while driving continuous process improvement.

• Ensuring superior customer support experience by demonstrating sense of urgency and care in your area of responsibility, maintaining customer retention and satisfaction.

• Managing Field Service Engineers and Site Managers, providing appropriate technical support, guidance, and coaching aligned to customer requirements and ABB's scope of work.

• Ensuring seamless coordination and communication between local, regional, and global Service units and other Electrification Business divisions to facilitate smooth project execution and issue resolution.

• Addressing quality issues on a timely basis, ensuring resolutions are delivered promptly, and ensuring compliance with ABB's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) directives and integrity regulations within your area of responsibility.

• Driving performance of support activities by tracking Key Performance Indicators (response times, customer satisfaction, safety metrics) and implementing data-driven corrective actions to achieve service excellence.

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives, communicating best practices and lessons learned across regions and the global Electrification Service community, and implementing improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering with a strong foundation in technical principles applicable to service and project management.

• Having 8-10 years of progressive experience in site management, field service engineering, and sales estimation for offers; demonstrated success in managing technical operations and service delivery in industrial or electrification environments.

• Extensive knowledge of technical aspects, project requirements, and service delivery models related to Data Center projects, including understanding of infrastructure, power systems, and customer-specific requirements.

• Advanced skills in relevant tools, methodologies, and industry best practices; proficiency with project management software, estimation tools, and technical documentation systems used in service operations.

• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively; demonstrated experience leading diverse teams (Project Managers, Field Service Engineers, Estimation teams) and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders.

• Proficient communication skills in English (written and verbal) with ability to communicate effectively with customers, global teams, and leadership; strong commitment to HSE compliance, risk management, and integrity standards.

• Professional demeanor with strong work ethic, leadership presence, and integrity; demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, coaching others, and building high-performing teams; willingness to travel to site locations as required (70–80% domestic/international travel) and adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
