At Stoke, we believe a thriving space economy will enable a vibrant, sustainable, and equitable future here on Earth. That is why we’re building Nova, our fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle. Designed for daily flight, Nova tackles the core challenges of space transportation by reducing cost, increasing availability, and improving reliability. As an Avionics Integration Technician your role will be a fundamental part of the production process for the avionics system from end-to-end. You will be responsible for the delicate work of producing custom wire harnesses, electronic, and electromechanical assemblies to the exacting specifications required. Your work does not stop after assembly and will also be responsible for performing functional tests, then installing your products on flight and test vehicles. You will be a leader and act as the final check on engineering designs – your feedback will be invaluable as we create a functioning space economy.
Responsibilities
Assemble vehicle and ground wire harnesses and electromechanical assemblies
Test harnesses using conventional testing methods such as continuity and hi-pot testing
Install components on flight vehicles and test stands
Perform functional tests of assemblies using bespoke test equipment
Monitor inventories of parts
Program and operate automated wire stripping, crimping, and torquing equipment
Perform testing such as vibe, shock, thermal to validate hardware integrity and flight-readiness

Ability to review and execute work instructions
Rigorous attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with configuration-controlled drawings, specifications, and as-built configuration
Comfortable with the tooling and processes around aerospace grade wiring harnesses and be comfortable operating and maintaining both hand and automatic harnessing tools
Soldering and or PCBA rework experience
Familiar working in an ESD protected area
Familiar with FOD and tool control processes when working around integrated aircraft or spacecraft
