Operates extrusion lines and performs basic production duties including loading cores, packaging finished stretch film rolls, and inspecting quality. Assists in training new hires and ensures the production line operates efficiently and safely.
Requires technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for 12-hour shifts. A high school diploma and previous plastics manufacturing experience are preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Line Operator 2 serves as the front line of the production operation and is responsible for the basic operations of the extrusion lines and will assist with training new hires in the process. As they continue to expand their knowledge by learning to operate various production lines, the Line Operator 2 works to develop a more in-depth understanding of quality standards. The Line Operator 2 must be knowledgeable in and follow all procedures needed to ensure the proper safe and efficient operation of their production line. Position works under established guidelines and company policy.
