The Senior Buyer is responsible for the strategic sourcing and management of instrument panel and airvent commodities. This includes overseeing the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, developing commodity strategies, and reporting budget and sourcing status to leadership.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering and at least 5 years of related industry experience. Preferred qualifications include experience with interior parts, global matrix environments, and quality systems like Six Sigma and ISO/TS16949.
The North America Cockpit Senior Buyer is a strategic buying role in support of the Body and Interior Purchasing group. The Senior Buyer will have responsibility to execute the sourcing and management of the commodities responsible. The position will provide comprehensive oversight from beginning to end for all internal and external supplier partner activities as it relates to planning, strategy, sourcing, contract management, cost management, quality, and supply. Additional responsibility for developing and executing the commodity strategy, jointly with engineering & global Purchasing team. Regular reporting out to leadership, e.g. monthly budget status and weekly sourcing tables.
