The Saw Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery to cut parts ranging from 2 to 18 inches in diameter. Key duties include performing in-process inspections, adhering to safety practices, and maneuvering heavy parts using cranes and forklifts.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a technical degree in machining preferred. Candidates must possess strong mathematical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and experience using precision inspection tools.

The 2nd Shift Saw Operator will be responsible for working with parts that range from 2” – 18” in diameter and up to 24’ in length.

Works in a manufacturing environment and is exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. The employee will be required to wear eye, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties. May on a frequent basis squat, climb, push/pull objects, lift up to 25 lbs., and use hands/fingers for grasping and reaching. May on an occasional basis bend at the waist; reach above the shoulder; turn or twist body; lift up to 50 lbs.; carry up to 35 lbs.; and use hands/fingers for fine manipulation. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud. Additional NotesMust be able to work a flexible schedule. Full-time work week is 40-55 hours, Monday – Friday, 10-hour days Monday – Thursday. 12-hour shifts are sometimes required to meet delivery schedules. Saturdays (1/2 days) as needed. |
