The Health Care Technician provides essential support to licensed nursing staff by assisting patients with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living. They are also responsible for collecting patient data, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining unit supplies to ensure smooth operations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA. Required experience includes CNA certification, completion of CNA coursework, or relevant medical military training.
