Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Execute Medical Expert engagement plans aligned with therapeutic area priorities and conduct unbiased, evidence-based, peer-to-peer scientific exchange with HCPs and Medical Experts.
Identify, map, and engage relevant Medical Experts and key accounts when medical needs, scientific questions, or evidence gaps arise.
Share, discuss, and contextualize new clinical data, publications, and emerging scientific evidence to support high-quality scientific dialogue.
Support ME/HCP education activities, including hospital staff meetings, regional scientific events, symposia, and internal or external educational initiatives.
Systematically collect, synthesize, and communicate actionable external insights from clinical practice, scientific discussions, and competitive activities to inform medical strategy.
Support evidence generation and clinical research activities by identifying and qualifying potential study sites and facilitating communication between sites and internal teams.
Contribute scientific insights to country medical plans and disease area strategies while maintaining strong understanding of the therapeutic landscape, emerging data, and competitor environment.
Build and maintain partnerships with Medical Experts, scientific societies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to support collaboration and scientific leadership in the therapeutic area.
Act as a scientific resource for internal partners by providing clinical context, data interpretation, training, and support for cross-functional collaboration.
Represent Novartis as a credible scientific ambassador and strengthen the medical ecosystem through evidence-based collaborations, multistakeholder partnerships, and joint value creation initiatives.
Ensure all engagements, materials, documentation, CRM reporting, and activities meet ERC, regulatory, and medical governance requirements.
Provide expert medical and scientific guidance to internal cross-functional team (e.g., Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance).
Provide scientific training, onboarding, and ongoing education for internal teams to ensure consistent, evidence‑based communication across the organization.
Essential Requirements:
University degree in Medicine (MD) or Mgr./PharmD/PhD in Health Care Sciences.
Fluency in English and Czech or Slovak language. Driving license B.
Demonstrated ability to engage in high-quality scientific dialogue with HCPs and Medical Experts.
Strong ability to interpret clinical data, scientific evidence, and emerging therapeutic area information.
Sound understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance requirements, and scientific engagement standards.
Experience supporting clinical research is a plus, including understanding of evidence generation approaches such as RWE, clinical trials, and observational studies.
Strong scientific engagement, communication, and insight-generation capabilities, including the ability to collect, synthesize, and communicate actionable insights.
Ability to partner effectively in a matrix environment and collaborate across functions with credibility, clarity of purpose, and influence without authority.
Strong planning, prioritization, and territory management abilities, with adaptability, resilience, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
Scientific curiosity, growth mindset, clear and impactful communication, and ability to simplify complex science for different audiences.
High integrity, ethical judgment, and a patient-centric mindset guiding all internal and external interactions.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 1,010,940.00 to 1,877,460.00 CZK Annual
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.

In addition, we provide flexible and hybrid working options, where possible, and minimum 14 weeks paid parental leave.
