The Optometric Technician performs initial diagnostic testing using various optical equipment to prepare patients for exams. They are responsible for delivering a high-quality patient experience while maintaining clinical equipment and adhering to HIPAA policies.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least one year of experience in customer or patient interaction. Previous medical or ophthalmic office experience is strongly preferred.

SUMMARY
An Optometric Technician is a valuable asset to an optometrist as they assist in providing a world class Total Patient Experience. This team member is able to handle a wide range of duties while using optical equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare a patient for an exam with an Optometrist.
