Oversees the daily operations of the interventional radiology and cardiac cath labs, ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Manages staff scheduling, competencies, and performance improvement strategies to optimize workflow and service value.
Requires a degree as a Registered Radiologic Technologist, Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or Registered Nurse with at least two years of progressive clinical experience. Must hold BLS certification and obtain ACLS within 90 days of hire.
The Supervisor Interventional Lab provides superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service by creating a collaborative environment for interdisciplinary staff, ensuring the availability of high-quality, accurate examinations, and participating in the cost-effective management of the interventional radiology and cardiac cath labs.
1. Assists manager with regular check-ins and annual competencies; ensures all associates comply with annual requirements within designated time frame.
2. Responsible for timekeeping, scheduling, and delegating staff to ensure safe care of patients.
3. Assists with implementation of performance improvement strategies and activities to improve workflow operations, quality patient care outcomes, and customer delight. Actively seek evidence-based best practices.
4. Assists with development of interventional radiology and cath lab services, policies, procedures, and ensures staff compliance.
5. Completes/delegates assigned audits and monitors accurately and in a timely manner. Works with the coding department to ensure coding compliance.
6. Collaborates with physicians and staff to identify, develop, and improve quality indicators for the interventional radiology and cath labs.
7. Collaborates with Invasive Specialist Coach to ensure orientation and competency standards are met.
8. Participates in teaching activities for interventional radiology and cardiac services, students, and other Health First associates as required.
9. Ensures compliance with The Joint Commission, and other organizational and regulatory standards within the department.
10.Oversees the maintenance of the daily patient log and patient information databases.
11.Assists manager with productivity/financial stats to ensure all information is entered timely and accurately.
12.Coordinates evaluation of new equipment for the interventional radiology and cath labs.
