Under the supervision of the nurse, CNAs perform care appropriate to the patient population served and meet daily routine patient care needs. The CNA performs their duties based on the unit care delivery model. This role collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to deliver care as outlined by the nurse.

The CNA's practice reflects the laws and regulations for a Certified Nurse Aide as outlined by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
