Provides direct basic patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with hygiene and mobility under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Acts as a liaison between patients and nursing staff to report changes in condition and ensure high-quality customer service.
Requires a High School diploma or GED and completion of the first clinical rotation or state testing for nursing students. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.
Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Provides direct patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health.
