Requires a bachelor's degree in a social service field or a high school diploma with at least 3 years of experience working with youth in behavioral settings. A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Residential Assistants will be expected to provide positive support, caring assistance and responsible supervision.
This position is expected to require a unique sensitivity on the part of the applicants to recognize and appropriately respond to clients who may have evidenced difficulties.
Weekdays or Weekends Full time/Part time or On-Call shifts available.
Sawtelle Hall is a program of Youth Consultation Service (YCS), which is a behavioral health and social services agency that has been caring for at risk children and families since 1918 in therapeutic residences, special education schools, in-home and in-community programs throughout NJ.
Caring for vulnerable New Jersey children & families since 1918
Each day YCS cares for approximately 1,500 children, by providing either residential care or in-community and in-home services. Some of the children are separated from their loved ones and have been affected by trauma, others are unable to live at home because of intellectual and developmental disabilities that adversely affect their behavior. Whatever the child's special education, mental health or behavioral health needs, the caring YCS staff is prepared to offer individualized services to both the child and family. With your support, we can help our children find hope, and cultivate strength and resilience for a brighter future.
