The RRT provides comprehensive respiratory care therapy, including the diagnosis and management of pulmonary disorders in critical and non-critical areas. Responsibilities include operating invasive and non-invasive respiratory equipment and participating in emergency trauma codes.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program with an associate degree and a NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner License. Required certifications include NJ RRT Certificate and AHA Basic Health Care Life Support.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, Technical Supervisor, Shift Supervisors, provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
