Prepares and distributes medications, including IV admixtures and compounded orders, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintains drug inventory, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages patient records using pharmacy software.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and either a formal pharmacy technician training program or two years of experience. Must hold a current State of Illinois Technician license and PTCB or ExCPT certification.
Under the direct guidance and supervision of a licensed Pharmacist(s), and following all Federal and State regulations, prepares and distributes medications and maintains drug inventory and patient records. Embodies the Memorial Health Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, and Stewardship that support our mission and vision.

Occupational Hazards: Potential for exposure to infectious patients and materials, though rare. Potential for exposure to hazardous and toxic substances including chemotherapy, cytotoxic drugs, and cleaning solutions.
