The LNG Financial Trader will develop and execute trading and hedging strategies across European and US natural gas markets to manage financial exposures. They will also collaborate with commercial and risk teams to optimize portfolio performance using quantitative models and market data.
Candidates must hold a degree in a quantitative discipline and possess proven experience in natural gas or LNG trading. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and a deep understanding of market risk management are required.

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.
The LNG Financial Trader will be responsible for pricing, valuing, and managing LNG-related financial exposures arising from physical LNG portfolios and optionality. The role focuses on developing and executing trading and hedging strategies across European natural gas markets, Henry Hub and option markets.. The trader will contribute to portfolio optimization, risk management, and market positioning while leveraging quantitative analysis and market intelligence to identify opportunities and manage LNG-linked risks.
