Backend Equipment Engineering Engineer
Job Summary
Responsible for leading equipment introduction, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives within semiconductor backend test operations. This role drives equipment reliability, process quality, and operational excellence through effective project management, quality improvement activities, validation processes, and cross-functional collaboration to support manufacturing and customer requirements.
What You Need to Do:
Lead new equipment introduction (NEI) and equipment improvement projects to enhance manufacturing performance, quality, and operational efficiency.
Drive Line of Harm (LOH) and Equipment Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (EFMEA) improvement initiatives, monitor effectiveness, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
Review Quality Assurance (QA) roving audit findings and implement sustainable systemic corrective and preventive actions to strengthen process compliance and quality performance.
Support equipment, design, and process buy-off activities to ensure readiness for production and compliance with manufacturing requirements.
Coordinate qualification and validation activities for new products, materials, equipment, and process changes in accordance with quality and reliability standards.
Support customer complaint investigations and internal quality issue resolution through structured root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance process capability, and improve manufacturing yield, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
What You Need to Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of test equipment, process quality, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Equipment FMEA (EFMEA).
Familiarity with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 requirements and standards.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
