At Etex, we seek to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our customers and our communities. Are you looking for a company where you can learn, grow & lead? Join us as a Senior Technical Advisor in Bristol!
As Senior Technical Advisor, you will respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and by Microsoft Teams, providing accurate advice on complex technical queries. This is a senior role within the team, and you will coach and support junior Technical Advisors as you grow into the position. The role is hybrid, with 3 set days in the office (Tuesday to Thursday) and 2 days at home, working core hours of 8.30am to 5pm. You may be asked to attend the office more frequently during your initial training.
What you’ll do:
Respond to customer enquiries quickly and accurately by phone, email and Microsoft Teams.
Handle complex technical queries and make sound decisions on the spot.
Coach and support junior Technical Advisors, sharing your knowledge and helping them develop.
Act as a senior point of reference within the team.
What you’ll bring:
Experience providing advice on a technical product, gained in a building or architectural environment.
The ability to read architects' drawings and understand construction details.
Strong people skills, with experience helping or training others at a senior level.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly over the telephone.
Enthusiasm for supporting people and working in an office environment.
A base within commutable distance of our Bristol office (around one hour at peak times).
AutoCAD experience is desirable.
A qualification in fire protection, or experience with a fire protection company, is desirable.
Why join us?
