The Senior Data Engineer will refactor existing schemas and optimize Airflow pipelines to improve data reliability and performance. They are responsible for maintaining dbt models, tuning Snowflake query performance, and ensuring the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the data platform.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong proficiency in Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, SQL, and Python. A bachelor's degree in a related field is desired, along with experience in Medallion Architecture and production-scale data platform management.
You are a Senior Data Engineer who thrives on solving hard production problems, not just designing solutions on paper. You have a track record of taking ownership of complex data platforms end to end, diagnosing bottlenecks, refactoring what’s broken, and shipping improvements that hold up under real production load. You’re energized by optimization work: making queries faster, pipelines leaner, and warehouses more efficient, and you can point to the measurable impact of the changes you’ve driven.
You’re comfortable operating independently within an established architecture, partnering with architects and fellow engineers rather than needing to define the roadmap yourself. Above all, you care about outcomes, clean data, reliable pipelines, and systems that perform when it matters.
