The welder is responsible for the creation and repair of trailer or MEGC units by performing various fabrication tasks. They must also maintain equipment, follow safety guidelines, and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints and industry standards such as CGA and ISO 9001. Proficiency in various metal fabrication techniques and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are required.
This position is responsible for the creation and/or refabrication of the trailer or MEGC (Multiple Element Gas Container) unit. All areas of performing fabrication work are included with this position such as welding, reading blueprints, using overhead cranes, brazing, torch cutting, drilling, sawing, layout, fit up, etc. Large sections of metal are used in the performance of this function; therefore, it is necessary to work in a team environment to complete the assigned task.
