IP/SOC Verification with power management Engineer  

 

THE ROLE: 

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivative design verification engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Verification Engineering team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development. 

 

THE PERSON: 

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• • Develop comprehensive test plans for power management features across Server SOC
  • Create coverage models for P-state, C-state, and power gating scenarios
  • Build UVM testbenches with power-aware verification components
  • Verify cross-IP power management interactions and dependencies
  • Debug RTL/testbench issues and work with design teams for resolution
  • Ensure functional coverage closure for all power management use cases
  • Participate in architecture reviews and provide DV feedback
  • Support post-silicon validation teams with pre-silicon insights

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

 

• Scripting proficiency in Python/Perl/TCL for test automation and analysis
• Experience with waveform debugging tools (Verdi, DVE, Simvision)
• Knowledge of industry standards: PCIe, CXL, DDR5, LPDDR5, ACPI
• Exposure to post-silicon validation and debug methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional teamwork

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
