Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
Develop and support power tools motor drive applications with a primary focus on low-voltage power MOSFETs (
Capture and translate application requirements for next-generation
Engage directly with power tools OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers through on-site design reviews, application workshops, and joint development projects to accelerate design-in activities, resolve system-level challenges, and strengthen strategic partnerships.
Contribute application-driven requirements to MOSFET product roadmaps, ensuring device technology, packaging (e.g., PQFN, TOLL,DirectFET) align with real-world power tool application demands.
Own datasheet development and technical documentation, emphasizing application-relevant parameters to enable accurate customer simulationand selection.
Lead technical Go-to-Market initiatives, including:
Building reference designs and demo boards.
Performing benchmarking and loss modeling vs. competitors
Creating application notes, simulation test bench (SPICE/PLECS)
Publishing technical papers and presenting at industry
Provide 3rd-level application engineering support to FAEs and key customers, trouble shooting system issues, running double-pulse tests,conducting thermal/EMI simulations, and supporting hardware to secure design-wins.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
A university or university of applied sciences degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Physics or comparable, ideally withfocus on power electronics
At least 5 years of working experience in the semiconductor or power electronics industry
System understanding and a background in power electronics and motor drive applications
In depth understanding of Low voltage MOSFETs (
Experience with simulation tools (e.g. Simetrics, LTSpice, Simulink)and math calculation tools (e.g. Matlab, Excel),
Programming skills is aplus (e.g. embedded programming for MCUs, C#, Python)
Experience with lab measurements operating scopes, power analyzers,but also soldering and assembling prototype boards
