The Placement Counselor is responsible for placing clients in community service sites and managing job search activities. They also develop relationships with employers and facilitate employment-related workshops.
The candidate should have experience commensurate with the role's requirements in social services. They must be able to manage barriers to self-sufficiency for clients receiving Public Assistance.

We currently have an opportunity as a Placement Counselor. The Work Ready program provides employment-oriented services to those receiving Public Assistance benefits, including those who require specific help managing barriers to self-sufficiency.
This role, located in our office in Center City Philadelphia, offers flexibility and a hybrid environment. This position is full-time, 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide appropriate community service sites, job search and job placement activities; place clients at those sites
Arrange for on-site employer presentations
Develop ongoing relationships with employers
Facilitate employment and other related workshops
Working with individuals to create sustainable paths to independence and economic security.
