Instructors are responsible for teaching nursing courses through various modalities, including lectures, laboratories, and clinical practicums. They must promote the university's mission while managing a specific number of work units per quarter.
Candidates must hold an active RN license and CPR certification, with a Master's degree required for full-time roles and a BSN acceptable for some adjunct roles. At least one year of clinical RN experience is required, with previous teaching experience preferred.

Instructors are responsible for teaching courses in a variety of modalities while promoting and supporting the vision and mission of Rasmussen University. Instructors will generally teach 4.5-5.5 work units each quarter equaling a full-time work schedule.
Adjunct Instructors are responsible for teaching lecture, laboratory, and/or clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned. These courses may be on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations. This is a part-time role and Adjunct Instructors are generally scheduled to teach 1-2 work units each quarter.
The Instructor reports to the Nursing Administrator. Based on the location, this may be an Area Dean of Nursing or Dean of Nursing.

Our defined compensation structure is market competitive and is built to reward performance. If selected for a Full-Time Instructor role, a reasonable estimate of the current range is $69,400.00 to $93,700.00. If selected for a Part-Time/Adjunct role, a reasonable estimate of the current range is $38.00 to $60.00 per hour. We take a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including but not limited to: job and level hired into, location, skill set; experience and training; peer compensation and other business and organizational needs. This range is subject to change.
