We are currently seeking a IT Support Specialist- with Japanese and English to join our team in Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa (JP-14), Japan (JP).

 

Position Overview:

• Individuals understand their own area and are able to perform all facets of their role.
• They have experience in most issues that may arise, although require guidance with new assignments or assignments outside normal scope of work.
• They manage projects with oversight from their supervisor.

 

Job Family Grade Description 

• Provides supervision to a Small or large team of operational, production, sales, service or administrative team members, or a small staff of professional level team members.
• Work is guided by operational and project objectives.
• Leads the installation multiple solutions.
• Performs advanced trouble shooting techniques to address complex technical issues.
• Independently assesses and adjusts technical solutions based on the specific client issue.
• Addresses escalated technical issues from less experienced team members.
• Activities are diverse in nature and require independent judgment in determining the most
• appropriate course.
• Works autonomously in providing on-site technical support to clients.
• Works autonomously in delivering installation services.
• Prepares documentation to record and track project status.
• Provides technical feedback on technical process issues to improve overall service delivery.
• May act as team lead at times and coach team members.
• Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and take corrective action.
• May assist with simple parts replacement and repair on desktops / notebooks/ printers.
• Travel may be required. (As per NTTD’s travel policy)
• May respond to calls after normal business hours per leader’s instructions.
• This will be a full time Onsite role.

 

 Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Manages escalated client situations with a focus on building positive client relationships.
• Excellent understanding of internal service processes and able to articulate these to clients.
• Strong technical and product knowledge.
• The individual must have excellent Japanese communication skills (spoken, reading, and written). Proficiency in English (spoken, reading, and written) is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.

 

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions 

• Ability to physically perform general office requirements. Such as the lifting / movement of assets from one location to another within the same premises or between two different premises. (The person must be physically able to do normal office tasks, including occasionally lifting or moving items that can weigh up to 50 pounds, with support equipment like trolleys, trays etc. )
• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Significant travel including overnight domestic trips may be required.

 

Typical Years of Experience 

• Typically requires 5-7 years’ relevant experience.

 

Minimum Education and Certifications 

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
