YThrive Coaches lead members through 90-day exercise routines and provide coaching appointments to help members reach their goals. They also assist with Wellness Floor maintenance, ensure safety rules are followed, and act as YMCA ambassadors.
Candidates must be at least entering grade 9 and possess a genuine interest in the YMCA's mission. A current Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required, and a minimum commitment of 2 hours per week for 4 months is expected.

YMCA of Southwestern Ontario was founded in 1856 and has over 200 locations from Goderich to Point Pelee, and Windsor to Woodstock. We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed childcare in Canada and have over 100 school age programs across our regions. We also offer settlement services to newcomers, employment programs, mental health support, and youth programs. The YMCA of Southwestern Ontario operates two overnight camps, one in Point Pelee National Park, and one on Beausoleil Island in Muskoka. We also have 13 Health & Fitness branches across Southwestern Ontario.

Employees and volunteers of YMCA of Southwestern Ontario are ambassadors for the Y both on and off the job. We rely on them to help share our mission and increase awareness of the positive impact the Y can have on the lives of people in their communities. Role Description:
Y Thrive Coaches assist and build relationships with members, YMCA staff and volunteers while assisting Health & Wellness staff on duty. After completing YThrive training, coaches lead members through 90-day exercise routines with follow-up appointments every 30 days. Coaches demonstrate knowledge of the Wellness Floor, YMCA mission and core values, act as positive role models, and help maintain a friendly and safe environment in the Health & Wellness areas.
