The Swim Instructor provides swim lessons following National Program and YMCA guidelines while ensuring student safety and skill progression. They are responsible for enforcing pool rules, correcting strokes, and administering first aid or CPR when necessary.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and hold or obtain certifications in YMCA Swim Lesson (YSL), CPR PRO/AED, First Aid, and O2. Experience instructing swim lessons is preferred, and applicants must pass a written and practical skills exam.
The Swim Instructor is responsible for providing adequate instruction within National Program and YMCA of San Diego County Guidelines. Provide excellent customer service to members and participants.
