Provide excellent customer service to members and prospects via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Manage membership inquiries, address complaints, and build sustainable relationships of trust within the community.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in customer service or sales. Candidates must be able to work nights and weekends and possess basic computer skills.

Rate of pay: $15.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide an excellent customer service experience to members and prospects.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manage effectively large amounts of incoming calls.
  • Engage members to help build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication.
  • Interact with customers in person, telephone, or email in order to provide information about membership, programs and services in a manner that is prompt, warm and friendly.
  • Address membership complaints and comments providing appropriate solutions and follow-up to ensure resolution and member satisfaction.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience and or education.
  • Must be able to communicate well, have good human relation skills, and have a general knowledge of office routines.
  • Must be able to stand for periods of time, give prospective members tours throughout the facility, answer telephones, and typing member information into the computer.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic.
    segments of the community.
  • Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends

YMCA Healthy Living Prevention Programs Diabetes Prevention Program A program for those who have prediabetes or are at high risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. The Program is a year-long program, developed in conjunction with Indiana University and recognized by CDC, consists of 16-1 hour-sessions, followed by 6-8 monthly meetings. The classroom-based program is proven that by eating healthier, increasing physical activity and losing a small amount of weight, a person with pre-diabetes who is overweight can prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes . www.diabetespreventionde.org Healthy Lifestyles Behavior Change Program The program, developed with Stanford University, is a behavior change program where participants focus on one health goal for the duration of the program. In a classroom setting, participants in learning about healthier eating, physical activity and other behavior changes over the course of 22 one-hour sessions.
