The Trailer Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing XTRA Lease equipment according to company standards. Duties include performing safety inspections and providing mobile service to customer rentals via a service truck.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in trailer and brake repair and be qualified to perform FHWA inspections. A valid driver's license and ownership of personal tools are required.

As a Trailer Mechanic, you’ll need one year of trailer repair experience to complete FHWA inspections consistent with the Department of Transportation requirements. The people who succeed as Trailer Mechanics have knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general knowledge of mechanical operation and body repair. Our employees enjoy consistent Monday - Friday schedules with little to no nights or weekends.

In addition, dry vans have free cargo sensors and all refrigerated trailers from model year 2022 and newer have free reefer monitoring and control systems.
