The mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling farm equipment and vehicles both in the shop and on the road. They must ensure all machinery is serviced on a routine schedule and maintain accurate repair records.
Candidates must have at least three years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel or heavy equipment. A valid driver's license and basic fabrication and welding skills are required.

Primarily working on the road this role is expected to maintain, repair and overhaul farm equipment and vehicles such as, tractors, trucks, forklifts, brush shredders, spray equipment, and other mechanically, electrically or motor driven equipment on farms and in farm shops. Examine equipment for defects and dismantle defective equipment using hand tools. Repairs or replaces defective units using hand and power tools.
