We are seeking an experienced Manager of Maintenance Training to lead the development, administration, and continuous improvement of our FAA Part 121 maintenance training program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our maintenance personnel receive the highest quality training while maintaining full compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will be a highly organized aviation professional with strong technical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for developing maintenance personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and support the company's commitment to Safety, Security, and Quality in every aspect of the training program.
Develop, implement, and maintain company-specific maintenance training courseware in accordance with the WGA Training Manual.
Administer all maintenance training programs, including initial, recurrent, regulatory, and specialized training.
Coordinate and schedule training sessions while balancing operational and production department requirements.
Maintain complete and accurate training records for all maintenance personnel and contractors.
Perform routine audits of training files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor FAA regulations and industry best practices, recommending training updates as necessary.
Maintain qualification records for employees and contractors and provide current qualification reports to Maintenance leadership.
Coordinate student enrollment, training schedules, and work assignments to support operational requirements.
Ensure all training activities comply with FAA regulations, company manuals, and internal quality standards.
Support the Vice President of Quality/Chief Inspector with implementation of all maintenance training initiatives.
Identify and resolve issues that could affect regulatory compliance, operational safety, or training effectiveness.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the Maintenance organization.
Qualifications
Experience in aircraft maintenance training, maintenance operations, or quality assurance within a Part 121 air carrier environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance training requirements, and aviation safety principles.
Experience developing or administering technical training programs.
Excellent organizational, project management, and recordkeeping skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic training management systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Previous instructor, training management, or Quality Assurance experience in commercial aviation.
Experience developing FAA-compliant maintenance training curricula.
Familiarity with Boeing 747, MD-11, or large transport-category aircraft is a plus.
