Job Description

This position will require assisting customers with selecting and purchasing items in the bakery department while also delivering great customer service. In this position, a high level of product knowledge will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Bakes off pastry case items such as muffins, croissants, scones etc according to set times
Makes a variety of parfaits, dips, and other bakery specific items while following written recipes
Is comfortable using commercial baking equipment such as ovens, knives, bread slicers, etc.
Stocks and rotates bakery merchandise as directed
Prepares, packages, and prices product as directed
Assists customers with orders placed
Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards in accordance with food safety best practice
Provides exceptional customer service
Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Proper phone etiquette while taking orders or messages
Ability to write legible and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this positio
