Requires a high school diploma and four years of experience in material management, logistics, or a related field, including supervisory experience. Candidates should be able to perform physical tasks and be willing to operate large equipment.
The University of Virginia Facilities Management (FM) department is currently seeking a Recycling Supervisor to support Facilities Management's sustainability goals of providing a state-of-the-art recycling program for the University. This position is responsible for the supervision of recycling staff involved in the collection and sorting of recyclable materials. Recycling Department supervisors also:
FM supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic, and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, FM is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair, and maintenance of UVa's buildings, infrastructure, and grounds, as well as other University-owned and leased properties.
Employee will be required to lift various weights, climb ladders and stairs in order to complete jobs. The use of both hands and a repetitive motion will be required while performing duties.
The anticipated hiring range is $24.00–$28.00, commensurate with experience.
