General Notes
The Department of History is a large department with 50+ faculty.
Purpose
This student position will provide administrative support to the History main office.
Work-Study Job Information • Supervisor: Mark Lawrence and Michael Schmidt • GAR 1.104, 128 Inner Campus Dr. B7000 • $15/hr
Responsibilities
Serve as first point of contact and greet visitors in the History front office
Answer phones and emails, make copies, scan materials, distribute mail
Assist faculty with administrative requests
Assist History staff members with administrative processes
Assist departmental special events
Special assignments as necessary
Required Qualifications
Be awarded Federal Work-Study on the Work-Study Verification (WSV).
Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy standards as set by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Must be enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student’s academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of administrative experience. Excellent communication skills.
Salary Range
$15.00 per hour
