The Opportunity
Join UPA and make a real difference by helping older people live independently in their own homes while staying connected to their community. We provide person-centred care that promotes wellness, choice, and quality of life. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to safe, effective care and enriching the communities we serve.
We currently have a Home Care Worker opportunity to join our Illawarra region team based in Wollongong.
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver individualised care using a person-centred approach as per client care plans
Assist with personal care, medications, transport, and respite services
Provide everyday living support such as domestic assistance, gardening, shopping, and meal preparation
Complete accurate and timely reporting of client services
Identify and report client risks via our incident management system
What You’ll Need:
Certificate III in Individual Support and Aged Care (highly desirable)
Medication Assist qualified (highly desirable)
Current Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel
Registered and insured vehicle
Compassion, empathy, and a passion for helping others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Confidence in using technology
