The Career Specialist provides instruction in a project-based curriculum to help students develop life and career skills while monitoring their academic progress. They also build relationships with school administrators, community leaders, and business partners to support student success and post-graduation outcomes.
A bachelor's degree in education, social services, counseling, or business is required. Candidates must be able to obtain a Nebraska Department of Education Teaching Career Education Permit and possess a valid driver's license.

For nearly 100 years, United Way of the Midlands has served the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro by bridging the business and not-for-profit sectors to create a Circle of Support that helps our neighbors overcome difficult challenges and start building a better future. UWM’s funded programs and direct services address social and economic disparities and meet families’ essential needs such as healthy food, safe and stable housing, physical and mental health services, career preparation and job training. United Way works closely with the agencies that host the programs to note measurable results in the lives of their clients.
