UGM is seeking a flexible Security Patrol Officer able to work a variable schedule regarding hours and days worked based on the organization's changing needs.
Position Summary:
The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify and mitigate risks to staff and patrons. We are looking for active, dependable individuals that are highly motivated. Former military or law enforcement experience preferred! This position requires individuals to stand/walk for extended periods of time. There will be routine checks and code compliance requirements for the 10-acre campus of Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County. We also service The Vineyards of Lancaster, registering visitors, taking calls, and ensuring visitors have registered vehicles while conducting routine patrols.
What You Do:
Patrol buildings and grounds.
Maintain campus security and follow lock protocols.
Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
Executes Courtesy Patrol policies, procedures, and standards with excellence.
Provides campus directions to facility visitors.
Interacts with police, fire personnel, EMS, patients, visitors, and staff.
Completes incident / offense reports and composes narratives by performing investigations, recording observations, taking statements, gathering information, citing occurrences, and utilizing surveillance activities.
Make eye contact and greet all people with respect.
Responds to calls for service and emergency situations with urgency and professionalism.
Assesses the situation and utilizes appropriate de-escalation measures.
Utilizes critical thinking skills.
Responds to and activates the appropriate emergency response codes.
Supports activities and events by utilizing appropriate crowd control techniques representative of UGM.
Work overnights, weekends, evening hours, and holidays as needed by the organization.
The central job functions of this position are not limited to the duties listed above.
Qualifications / What You Bring:
3-5 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
Familiarity with security equipment.
Ability to handle physical workload (walking/standing)
Bilingual: Spanish Speaking a plus
Level 2 License preferred
