Unify Consulting is looking for a motivated Accounting Manager to join the Finance and Accounting team. This role will work closely with our VP of F&A and Senior Accountant to drive all day-to-day accounting responsibilities. What You'll Do:
Month-End Close Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
- Own the close timeline, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and other monthly reporting requirements
Rhythm of Business Accounting Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and implement processes to improve efficiency.
- Review of billing cycle contracts – SOWs and POs
- Preparation and review of invoices
- Analyze and follow up on overdue receivables
- Research GAAP for appropriate accounting treatments as necessary
- Respond to ad hoc requests from internal production and leadership involving financial information
What You’ll Need for Success
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to research, reconcile and resolve accounting discrepancies within tight deadlines
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office with strong proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in SAGE Intacct, Salesforce and UKG preferred
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
