HSP US: Building the Future of Energy
At HSP US, we’re looking for motivated, goal-oriented engineering professionals who want to grow their
careers while contributing to high-impact work in the energy sector. If you’re energized by technical
problem-solving, customer collaboration, and creating tailored engineering solutions, this role is for you.
As a fast-growing operation, we are building state-of-the-art production capabilities, cutting-edge
processes, and a high-performance culture centered around quality, safety, and innovation. Joining our team means being part of a once-in-a-generation start-up environment where you help lay the
foundation for operational excellence for years to come.
What We Are Looking For!
Asset Services & Customer Support
Support U.S. and
international customers, serving as the primary point of contact for
technical questions related to installed equipment and service
requirements.
Perform onsite and offsite
inspections, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities
for high-voltage equipment, including instrument transformers, coils,
reactors, and related assets.
Coordinate spare parts
sourcing, service planning, and customer scheduling activities.
Conduct preliminary issue
assessments and provide technical analysis to support problem resolution.
Assist with installation,
commissioning, startup, and acceptance activities for new equipment
deployments.
Conduct customer site
visits to assess equipment condition and define service scopes.
Provide technical
recommendations and support preparation of quotations, schedules, and
service proposals.
Deliver technical support
and training to customers and service partners regarding equipment
operation, maintenance, and industry best practices.
Field Diagnostics & Reliability
Perform troubleshooting,
diagnostic testing, and condition assessments for customer-installed
equipment.
Conduct root cause
analysis investigations related to equipment performance, reliability, and
service concerns.
Support warranty and
non-warranty customer cases through resolution by coordinating with
Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and third-party partners.
Document service findings,
corrective actions, recommendations, and technical observations through
detailed service reports.
Support field reliability
initiatives aimed at improving product performance and asset lifecycle
management.
Assist in identifying
trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for continuous product and
service improvements.
Collaborate closely with
Service Operations, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales teams
to enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery.
Ensure compliance with
customer requirements, safety standards, and field service procedures
during all service activities.
Maintain service tools,
testing equipment, documentation, and records in good working order.
Participate in continuous
improvement initiatives focused on customer experience, field reliability,
safety, and operational excellence.
Support development and
implementation of service processes, procedures, and best practices.
Contribute to the growth
and development of HSP US's service organization and aftermarket
capabilities.
Travel & Customer Engagement
Travel frequently to
customer sites across the United States and Canada based on business
requirements.
Represent HSP US
professionally during customer visits, inspections, outages, commissioning
projects, and technical meetings.
Build strong relationships
with customers through responsive communication and technical expertise.
Support emergency service
requests and customer-critical situations when required.
What You Will Bring!
Technical diploma,
Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering,
Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related
technical discipline.
Solid knowledge of
high-voltage technology and power transmission systems.
Previous hands-on
experience working with high-voltage equipment, instrument transformers,
coils, reactors, bushings, or related electrical systems.
Strong understanding of
electrical testing, diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting
procedures.
A strong hands-on
mentality and practical experience working with tools and field-testing
equipment.
Experience performing
field service activities, inspections, commissioning, startup support, and
warranty investigations.
Ability to read and
interpret technical drawings, schematics, engineering documents, and
service procedures.
Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
Excellent verbal and
written communication skills.
Ability to work
independently in dynamic field environments while managing multiple
priorities.
Familiarity with safety
standards and field service best practices within industrial, utility, or
power system environments.
Experience with SAP or
other service management systems is considered an asset.
Previous experience within
utility, power transmission, energy, transformer, or manufacturing
environments is strongly preferred.
Willingness and ability to
travel extensively throughout North America.
Valid driver's license
required.
