The Marketing and Strategic Communications unit is the full-service, in-house marketing and communications agency of the Wisconsin School of Business. MSC offers expertise in communication strategy, marketing, brand identity, marketing research, editorial content, web development, user experience, digital accessibility, public relations, social media, design, and photography.
MSC has been recognized by the American Advertising Federation with multiple ADDY awards.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a current student majoring in communications, journalism, marketing, creative writing, or similar.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong skills in writing and editing for multiple formats. Candidate should possess working knowledge of social media for business/professional purposes.
Must demonstrate high level of responsibility and reliability, have great attention to detail, be able to work with minimal supervision, and conduct oneself in a professional manner.
Experience with photography, WordPress, Sprout Social, and/or Adobe Express and social media metrics is a plus.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
This role supports our communications function. Duties will vary and may include but are not limited to: • Social Media: Source and identify content for social sharing; draft social media posts; assist team with creating video/Reels/TikTok content. • Public Relations Strategy: Support public relations initiatives by conducting research to support PR planning, drafting and proofing PR content, performing research and market analysis activities • Internal Communications: Draft articles and content for internal platforms, provide support for all-school meetings or events • Photography: Assist during photoshoots (holding lights, transporting equipment). Asset management. • Editorial Content: Write stories for the WSB Newsroom, draft copy for digital newsletters, etc. • Other communications duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Assisting with photoshoots may involve periods of standing, walking, and transporting lights or photography tools.
