Requires an Associate's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience in social services or social work. A valid Wisconsin Driver's License is preferred, and Territorial Caseworker Certification must be obtained within one year.

Not only do we provide hope for their community, but we also work everyday to fight hunger through our emergency pantry and produce program. Hunger is no way to spend childhood. The Community Caseworker will provide basic support and guidance to clients seeking assistance with emergency needs, utilizing case management skills to guide them to greater sufficiency. Responsible for interviewing, evaluating, and administering appropriate aid to clients including connecting with referrals to other Salvation Army and/or community services.
About the role:
Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with clearance to drive from The Salvation Army’s insurance carrier preferred. Must obtain the Territorial Caseworker Certification within one year of hire.
Experience: 2 years experience working within a social services agency or social work field
Or – Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge,
skills and abilities

Part-time employees with a regular work schedule of 20-29 hours per week are eligible for voluntary life benefits, prorated holiday pay and prorated paid time off.
Non-Exempt Employees: Health, dental, vision, and hearing benefits, as well as basic and voluntary life benefits, will begin on the first day of the month following 90 days of employment. If the completion of a 90-day waiting period occurs on the first day of the calendar month, coverage will begin on that day.
