Responsibilities

The BCBA-Program Supervisor provides leadership and supervision for the implementation of applied behavior analysis processes for clients with autism. Key duties include managing case programming, mentoring staff, and coordinating with families and partner organizations.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in special education or a related field and be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Experience in behavior intervention and the physical ability to manage active clients is required.

Description

  As a Program Supervisor, you will provide organizational leadership, supervision, and professional development to support effective Applied Behavior Analysis practices within the school programs at The Faison Center. You will ensure the consistent implementation of behavioral and academic programming that promotes meaningful positive change, while building strong partnerships with families and community organizations in a school-based environment serving individuals ages 5–22. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee behavior analytic programming and data-driven interventions
  • Supervise, train, and mentor instructional and clinical staff
  • Ensure accurate implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Develop individualized goals, program plans, and progress reports
  • Provide parent training and family support as needed
  • Respond to emergencies and support daily school operations
  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing, compliance, documentation, and budget needs

  • Strong leadership, supervision, and team-building skills
  • Experience in behavior analysis and special education services
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Organized, ethical, and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to safety, professional growth, and program quality

Requirements

 

Education & Experience

· Master’s degree in special education or related field required.

· Board Certification in Behavior Analysis required; or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.

·  Special education teacher licensure in Virginia preferred.

·  Knowledge of educational reports including IEPs, Interim Reports, Progress Reports and Report Cards.

·  Knowledgeable in data collection.

Mental & Physical Capabilities

·  Able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and be flexible.

·  Ability to meet attendance requirements.

·  Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.

·  Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

·  Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints.

·  Ability to lift 50 pounds (and keep back straight while doing so).

·  Ability to bend at all joints fluently.

·  Ability to reach in all directions

·  Ability to grasp using both hands.

·  Ability to move quickly in both confined and open spaces to avoid safety issues.

· Duties are usually performed by the combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a change basis.
