Job Title: Restaurant Server

Position Summary:

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional table-side service in a professional and engaging manner. This role ensures guests enjoy a seamless dining experience through attentive service, menu knowledge, and thoughtful recommendations. The Server creates memorable experiences by anticipating guest needs, maintaining service standards, and contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Team members are expected to embody Meyer Jabara Hotels' J Quality Behaviors: Joy, Jump, Join, by demonstrating passion for hospitality, proactive service, and collaboration in every guest and colleague interaction.

Service Duties

• Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service to all guests
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure quality and presentation standards
• Describe menu items, specials, and make personalized recommendations
• Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs throughout the dining experience
• Complete opening and closing side work duties
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Experience & Education:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with POS systems preferred
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 lbs
• Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly during service
• Ability to perform repetitive motions
