Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)-Role Overview
The Speech Language Pathologist will be
responsible for assessment, diagnosis, intervention planning, therapy
implementation, caregiver counseling, and multidisciplinary coordination for
children with communication, speech, language, feeding, and social interaction
difficulties.
The position offers extensive clinical
exposure in pediatric neurodevelopmental rehabilitation with opportunities for
interdisciplinary learning, advanced therapeutic approaches, academic
discussions, and community outreach program.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assessment & Evaluation
* Conduct detailed speech, language,
communication, feeding, and swallowing assessments
* Identify receptive and expressive
language difficulties
* Assess articulation, phonology, fluency,
voice, and social communication skills
* Evaluate prelinguistic and
pre-communication skills in young children
* Perform oral motor and feeding
assessments
* Develop individualized therapy goals and
treatment plans

Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Undergraduate: Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) or B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing).
- Postgraduate: Master in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP) or M.Sc. in Audiology/Speech-Language Pathology for advanced practitioner roles.
2. Mandatory Registration
- RCI Certification: Therapists must be registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- CRR Number: A valid Central Rehabilitation Register (CRR) number is legally required to practice and evaluate developmental communication disorders in India.
3. Core Competencies for EICs
- Paediatric Experience: Proven clinical experience in diagnosing and treating early childhood communication, speech, and swallowing disorders (e.g., autism, speech delays, stuttering).
- Multidisciplinary Teamwork: The ability to collaborate closely with developmental paediatricians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and clinical psychologist
