About the roles:

Airline Operations Coordinator

  • Monitor and control daily airline operations including managing network and crew disruption while ensuring all activities are carried out safely. Communicate with stakeholders, teams and departments regarding plans and recovery options.
  • Monitor weather and NOTAMS to determine impact on flight operations and develop contingency plans.
  • Manage the live pilot roster performing crew control / crew scheduling function within the Day of Ops window (72 hours).
  • Respond promptly to operational issues or emergencies.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve problems swiftly and develop solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with field teams, providing clear instructions and support as needed.
  • Provide safe, timely and efficient load control function.
  • Assist charter team to plan and execute charter flights including providing analysis for quotations.
  • Update and maintain data as required. Create reports and conduct analysis on behalf of customers and Texel Air.

Flight Dispatcher

  • Plan routes / flights in accordance with all relevant regulatory and company requirements.
  • Review current weather conditions and NOTAMS to determine operational impact and recalculate / reissue flight plans where necessary.
  • Provide updates to Pilots including weather and NOTAMS. Monitor EDTO flights.
  • Liase with customer regarding preferred alternates and fuel tankering opportunities considering planned payload and fuel policy.
  • Conduct route studies to support charter quotes and adhoc operations.
  • Flight watch / flight follow all flights until they land at their destination.

Crew Scheduler

  • In conjunction with the training department create and publish pilot rosters ensuring all pilots are legal and current for planned assignments.
  • Ensure pilot rosters met all rules and regulations including regulatory, company, fatigue, and EBA.
  • Ensure pilot rosters are produced in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Manage pilot logistics including positioning flights and hotels.
  • Manage pilot leave, while ensuring availability to support the operation, including standby crew for scheduled flights and ad hoc charters.
  • Manage crew availability including covering shortfall in small crew bases.
  • Manage the published pilot roster up to the Day of Ops window (72 hours) including crewing charters and covering crew unavailability.
  • Provide reporting and analysis including analysing crew requirements for draft schedules.

The ideal candidates will play a critical role in planning, monitoring, and optimising our operational activities while ensuring the highest standards of efficiency and safety.

Based at our Auckland Airport Office, these roles will serve as a key liaison point between customers / commercial, flight operations, crew and ground operations, with additional responsibilities in supporting safe and on time operations.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in aviation operations.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in using relevant operational software (operations / crew management systems and / or flight planning).
  • Proficient in Microsoft software suite.
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster including night shifts and weekends.
