The role involves updating and enhancing the COPEPOD toolkit, including COPEPODITE and NAUPLII, to automate ecosystem and status reports. The engineer will coordinate with plankton scientists across NMFS science centers to ensure the toolkit meets their requirements.
Candidates must be proficient in Django, Python, Linux, and Generic Mapping Tools, with the ability to handle data manipulation and web development. Experience with R for statistics and familiarity with the NOAA/Fisheries environment is required.
