Swick Drilling North America is looking for a highly skilled certified electrician to safely perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of underground mobile drill equipment and light vehicles. Must have the ability to understand and apply electrical theory in troubleshooting, demonstrate ability to apply math skills and comprehend, and interpret technical data sheets, schematics, blueprints, and instructional guides to the electrical trade.
The Field Electrical will assist with timely maintenance and repair on all surface and underground equipment on site, in order to ensure maximum quality and efficiencies are obtained.
Additionally, they will assist with training and implementation of specific diagnostic knowledge to operations and other personnel.
This position qualifies for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and fault-finding on underground equipment, including high voltage and control circuitry, to ensure safe, optimum operation is sustained
Participate in ordering and maintenance of relevant parts/stock
Develop, train and supervise more junior Maintenance team members, in a technical capacity
Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting of all relevant safety hazards
The Candidate The successful candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, high attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team. You will be required to meet the following criteria:

Essential
3 – 5 years previous experience in the mining industry/heavy industrial sector
Current Journeyman’s License
Current Driver’s License
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
Hydraulic and Mechanical aptitude
Desirable
Advanced hydraulic schematic diagnostic ability
