Responsible for the full hardware development lifecycle of x86 servers and high-bandwidth network switching products. This includes creating schematics, performing circuit design using OrCAD, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for system bring-up and debugging.
Requires a BSEE or MSEE with at least 3 years of experience in x86 PC, server, or switch hardware design. Candidates should be proficient in OrCAD and Allegro, with strong communication skills and a background in circuit troubleshooting.
As a hardware design engineer who is responsible for completing assigned projects from development through to end of life, including creating schematics, check layout,
component survey, specifications and datasheet study, motherboard and system bring up, bug fix, customer issues analyze, even support colleague's projects.
1. Designing high speed PCB circuit of x86 server.
2. Designing high speed PCB circuit of Broadcom ASIC for high-bandwidth network switching products.
3. Performing all the circuit design by using OrCAD tool.
4. Knowing the layout tool Allegro and can handle the tool.
5. Need to validate the server / switch.
6. Need to debug the circuit with digital scope.
7. Need to co-work with validation/ BIOS/ firmware/ software team to solve the issues
8. Co-work with validation engineers to solve the issues
9. Ensure product conforms to engineering specifications, and regulatory and customer performance expectations.
10. Transfer products to manufacturing with clear documentation and help C.M. and technical support to solve problems.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
