Overall Purpose:
Accounting Clerk performs a variety of accounting tasks, including: assist with the processing of vendor invoices, establishing and maintaining vendor records, and provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
This is a part-time position with an expected schedule of 22.5 hours per week. We offer flexibility in determining the specific work schedule, which will be finalized at a later time.
Essential Job Duties:
Research and resolve vendor issues and/or discrepancies
File invoices and payables
Obtain signatures for checks, ACH’s and wires
Enter vendor invoices for payment
Assist with check run procedures, monthly reconciliations, month end closing, special projects and reporting and other business administrative functions
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Review all expense reports and check requests to ensure proper G.L. codes and approvals are applied
Qualifications/Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to perform and understand mathematical and accounting computations
Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task a variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing with internal customers and vendors
Accuracy and attention to detail
Physical Demand:
Ability to perform data entry into accounting software for up to 4-5 hours a day. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to stand at a photocopy machine to scan invoices and other documents for up to 1-2 hours a week.

Salary:
The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is from $21-26/hour and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of base salary at the time of posting. The actual salary offered may vary based on experience, qualifications, or other relevant factors.
