ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Contract Manager will be accountable for the end-to-end management of contracts and/or key customers in support of business objectives and business growth throughout the life cycle of the contract for a specific portfolio. Accountable for delivering and implementing the full range of contract activities following contract management best practices policy and process throughout the organisation in support of standard tailored or complex bids during pre-sales and post sales phases.
As Senior Contract Manager you will not only bring expertise in Contract management, but also play a critical role in driving transformation and innovation within Europe Business Unit. Being able to successfully support Europe Business Unit wider vision, it requires the ability to have an entrepreneurial mindset, Customer-Centric Thinking & digital efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Contract Review, Negotiation & Lifecycle Management
Lead the management of customer contracts from opportunity and bid stages through contract execution, delivery, contract amendments, and closeout.
Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of customer contracts, amendments, extensions, and related contractual documents.
Develop negotiation strategies that protect the organization's contractual position while supporting business objectives.
Support contract implementation activities to ensure contractual requirements are understood and communicated to stakeholders.
Ensure contractual issues are identified and addressed proactively throughout the contract lifecycle.
PRE SALES
Be the main contractual interface to internal and external customers.
Prepare and approve contract documents for legal review or support preparation of contractual documents depending on the complexity of the deal.
Review understand and manage customer contract(s).
Support the bid team to work within the requirements terms and conditions of the contract to meet contractual obligations and commitments- both on behalf of SITA and the client.
Support the resolution of issues linked to contractual / process issues. Help identify assess and manage contractual risk as part of the bid team.
POST SALES
To be the subject manager expert for each contract under their responsibility.
Help identify assess manage and resolve contractual risk as part of the project team.
Identify and document potential contractual breaches / exceptions by either SITA or the client and address with the project team to mitigate risk.
Assist project teams account teams billing and relevant parties to support correct invoices for all services Key link to Billing & Finance to produce ad hoc one off invoices via billing process.
Lead the project team to work within the requirements terms and conditions of the contract to meet contractual obligations and commitments - both on behalf of SITA and the client.
Lead responses to change notices with impact on cost and time and terms and conditions.
Lead the negotiation of changes and disputes and keep contract documentation up-to-date as a result.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Commercial Management, Finance, Legal, Technical, Project Management, and Delivery teams to ensure contractual alignment.
Support bid and proposal activities by assessing contractual requirements, risks, and obligations.
Provide practical contract management guidance throughout the opportunity, project, and service delivery lifecycle.
Ensure contractual commitments are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to the development and implementation of contract management best practices.
Team Leadership & Development
Act as a senior contracts advisor, offering direction, support, and knowledge sharing on complex contractual issues, contract negotiations, risk mitigation, claims, and contract management practices.
Demonstrate leadership, accountability, stakeholder engagement, and sound judgment while promoting collaboration, high standards of contract management, and consistent contractual governance across the team and business.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree but ideally Business Management Degree Finance Degree.
